The Fox in the Suitcase Children's Fables

About The Fox in the Suitcase Children’s Fables Book Series

Since a child, I have always been deeply inspired by timeless tales like those of Aesop, Hans Christian Andersen, and The Brothers Grimm. I’ve always cherished the immersive worlds and profound messages they offer across generations. That’s why I’m delighted to introduce the Fox in the Suitcase Fable Series to you, my attempt at a collection of new fable stories crafted with children in mind. I have tried to write these tales with timeless themes and contemporary issues, aiming to impart moral values in a magical way. Through the adventures of a mystical fox found in the most unexpected places, I want each story to try to teach valuable life lessons and spark meaningful conversations. I really hope my fables entertain young readers, whether shared by parents or teachers or enjoyed alone.

Book 1: Lucy's Encyclopedia

In the first fox story, Lucy receives a mysterious book— a magic encyclopedia.  Can she be trusted to use the book wisely, or will her curiosity get the better of her?….

Book 2: Ben's Studies

In the second of the fox stories, the mysterious fox in the suitcase is back again, this time, to help Ben overcome his fear of exams and to help him to understand the value of being prepared for exams.

Book 3: The Boy Who Liked to Run

In book three, we meet Zach, a young schoolboy struggling with running. One day, he discovers a mysterious suitcase in the forest, revealing a magical fox inside. Despite the fox’s offer to grant him speed, Zach chooses honesty over shortcuts. As the story progresses, Zach learns valuable lessons about integrity and the importance of staying true to oneself.

Book 4: The Golden Sunflowers

In book four of the Fox in the Suitcase fable series, a poor young couple makes a magical life-changing discovery — this is a short story to teach children about self control, and to accept good fortune with humble hearts. For, had John and Alice not acted as they did by showing off their wealth so outrageously, they might just have kept hold of it to this very day!
